Fishing Report 6/30/08 (Pics)
Went out to do some more beach snookin’ this weekend. Saturday I did it mid day with all of the tourist around, no luck but I did see 2 while I was out there but they were not in feed mode I guess. So I postponed my snookin until Sunday evening. I was in the water at about 6:30pm and about 15 minutes later had a big one follow my white bucktail all the way to me but then spooked when it saw me. Five minutes after that I located a pod of bait near the shoreline and noticed several big swirls. First cast hooked up and landed a nice fish, right at 24″ and a heck of a fighter. Had about 3 tail walks and 2 tail over head aerials. Pics Below. Other than that good reports coming from all over the area on the big three (Snook, redfish, and Trout). Saw some reports of cobia and permit hanging around the offshore reefs.
Surf Report 6/30/08
Upham Beach 8:55am: A quiet tropical June even though water temps are on the rise and a little above average. No surf again today, even the skim seems to have flattened out some over the past few days. Keeping an eye on something later this week.
Clearwater Beach: Looks about the same as Upham.
Pensacola: Knee High - But it looks like they had at least small longboardable surf since Thurday.
Surf Report 6/29/08
Upham and Clearwater: Summer time flat spell. Wave models are preety flat right now. Small skim but not breaking on shore. Next weekend showing possibilities but we will have to see in the model holds true. Thanks for checking in! You stay classy St. Petersburg! 
Sam’s Shark Fishing Excursion (Now Pics)
I’ve never been shark fishing before, so me and Wes went out last Friday night at Blind’s Pass. We put out our chum bag and threw out our bait. In no time I was hooked up with a 4-footer. I’ve never really caught any big fish( Besides a 6 lb Bluefish) before, so this was a fun fight for me.
Fishing Report 6/28/08
Patrick doesn’t check my website, but, happy B-Day Pat. Went sharkin’ last night with Sam. Hopefully I can get her to write up an article of her triumphant battle. 8-foot Nurse shark. She also caught about a 4-foot Sandbar Shark. Chum bag and dead mullet off “The Drop” (Blind Pass). Not enough hands on deck to get pics of the big one but have some pics and video to get up of the Sand Bar Shark coming soon.
