Trout - Pensacola Bay
Got out to Pensacola Bay on the boat on Saturday morning 4/25. Winds got pretty nasty in the afternoon but the bay was flat in until about noon. Got 2 dozen shrimp at Dizzy Lizzy’s to the tune of $4 a dozen and they were small. Managed this 18″ speck and a pigfish.

Surf Report 4/14/09
Pensacola Beach: Surf is cleaning up as winds are now offshore. Probably shoulder to head high and subsiding throughout the day.
Fishing Report 4/14/09
Pensacola: The bay water continues to look more and more like coffee as more rain and riverwater pours into the bays. Inshore is going to be a little slow but fish with some baits on the bottom for best success. Offshore the cobia run is still going, the fish should be eaiser to spot today as the winds go offshore. Pompano are being caught right now along the beaches, most are 2-3 pounds.
Fishing Report 4/11/09
Some cobia sighted today I am sure riding some nice big rolling surf. Lots of boats up and down the beach rocking and rolling. I saw some good catches of pompano this week on the beach and on the gulf pier. Most were 12″-15″ but I did see a couple over 3 pounds. Inshore the sheephead are on the chew, try oysters or clams for good results.
