Inshore:  Redfish are dominating the inshore reports that I am receiving along with some specks going around 4 pounds.  The bluefish have been pretty fired up around structure.  Try jigging.

Offshore:  Its still snapper land out there.  The kings have been pretty fired up too.  A whale shark was spotted off of Pensacola Pass late last week that brought a bunch of cobia with it, so keep an eye out for those if you head out there.

Pensacola Beach 7:30am:  Surf is small, I would say in the shin to knee high range.  I looked at the beach cam and it may be slightly larger.  The weather will be the factor today with wind from pop up storms.  Small stuff this weekend but no real surf.

Just a friendly reminder that starting on Saturday August 1, 2009 you will be required to have a new shoreline fishing license to fish from anywhere from shore or wading unless otherwise specified. Example: A fishing pier that provides licenses.  For the whole article, check this out: http://www.breakinlines.com/new-shoreline-fishing-license-requirement/

Pensacola Beach Surf Report 8:40am:  Surf is in the knee high range.  I imagine it is just kicked up a little from the storms that we had last night and into this morning.  Longboardable but not very big and may drop as the day goes on.  Kids at home, never end a sentence in a preposition.

Here are some photos submitted to me by Phillip “Griff” Griffitts and John Seiffer in Panama City of some real nice redfish.  The big fish was caught off of Cape San Blas, east of Panama City.  Nice fish guys and thanks for the report.
