Surf Report 8/25/09
Pensacola Beach 8:00am: Surf is flat again today. Nothing in the Gulf of Mexico to churn up the summer waters. Looks like more action this week on the East Coast with another storm brewing.
Surf Report 12/15 - 12/16
Flat seas right on on the Florida West Coast. Worth a trip to the East Coast this week if you have the time and money!!!! Likely flat through the work week and into the weekend.

Upham Beach 10:00am: Flat seas out there, waiting for another tropical push. We may be in for a long flat spell though. The east coast is going to be rocking all this week and next week though.

Upham Beach 9:00am: Some little swell still left out there near the passes. Last night Sam caught some consistant shin to knee high surf at Upham on the longboard. Should be in that range today around the right tides. Last night was a low tide when the surf was at it’s best. The tropics continue to ramp up. The peak season is typically around September 10th. The cause for concern now is a tropical wave off of the windward islands. Could be in the Gulf of Mexico sometime next week. It depends which side of Puerto Rico and The Dominican Republic it stays on. If it heads south it could make it into the gulf, north would make it likely to bring some surf to the East Coast. Here is a good link to track its development: http://www.wunderground.com/tropical/tracking/at200894_model.html

Upham Beach 5:35pm: Found some good little knee to thigh surf today at UPHAM. We caught a bunch of rides on longboard and nobody was out except for the “in-your-way” tourist…. Surf should stay fun for the 1st part of the week.
