Sam’s Shark Fishing Excursion (Now Pics)
I’ve never been shark fishing before, so me and Wes went out last Friday night at Blind’s Pass. We put out our chum bag and threw out our bait. In no time I was hooked up with a 4-footer. I’ve never really caught any big fish( Besides a 6 lb Bluefish) before, so this was a fun fight for me.
Fishing Report 6/5/08
The weekend is on the horizion! Finally! Going to try to get out both days for some fish. Targets are snook, tarpon, sharks, heck anything that will pull some drag. Good reports of tarpon are coming in pretty good and the shark bite is probably as hot as it gets right now. Cousin Keith reported a small snook on topwater yesterday, maybe he can show me how that’s done…. Check the Fort DeSoto and Lower Tampa Bay area for trout. Reports of trout up to 5 pounds are coming in from both locations.
Fishing Report 6/3/08
Well this is where the surf/fishing reports argue. Hopefully it’s not too rough out there for the weekend fishing. I am planning a weekend trip to show cousin Keith, the Professional Bass fisherman what real fishing is as we target tarpon, bonito, and sharks this weekend. We have just added NOAA Marine Weathe Forecast to the fishing and surfing links. Looks like 2-4 foot seas Thursday through Saturday.
Fishing Report 6/2/08
The shipping canal was lit up with fish this past weekend. Saw lots of mullet and reds in the residential canals yesterday (Treasure Island). Received a good report from Jeff down in Boca Grande, tarpon and sharks, check it out in the comments section! Thanks Jeff and keep them coming!
My cousin Keith is in town this weekend. We are going to be getting out a couple times. Expect some good reports from me this weekend.
