Snookin’ Up Something Good
Great day out there today, a little bit of a brisk north wind early but it warmed up nice and the fish bite was on all day. Ended up with six snook hookups, landed 4 (22″, 24″, 24″, and 26″). No monsters except one I lost that was about 33″. Also managed a nice sheepshead and got a mess of snapper. Here’s the photos:
Fishing Today (How-to-Video)
Went out today. Only caught a couple fish: sheepshead, snapper, and a little gag. But did manage to time this video out right on the first and only try. Funny thing is that I didn’t even see the sheepshead. It was all by chance. I am a comedian for my day job by the way: http://vimeo.com/2144676

Fishing Report 10/13/08
Big snapper being caught in the bay and nice snook starting to move through the passes and back up into the bays for the winter. Good numbers of flounder reports also coming in as they begin their migration. The kingfish are here and accompanied by large spanish mackerel. Got two keeper snapper on last Friday but a tough bite considering all of the pinfish and jacks around.
Fishing Report 10/8/08
Lots of fish out there, I just can’t seem to keep the baits away from the pinfish, small jacks, and ladyfish. I did manage one small grouper and one snapper other than the above mentioned. Lots of snook sited at several locations but they were just out of reach.
Fishing Report 9/25/08
Lots of snook reports coming in from the beaches and passes. Most of the good reports are from down south and include some redfish mixed in. Also the jetties are producing snapper, small grouper, ladyfish, flounder, huge schools of jacks, and even some small cobia.
Offshore has been slow with rough seas. Kings should be here soon…..
