Sunset Beach 12/12/08 Surf Shots
Took some pictures out at Sunset Beach of today’s cold front swell. Too cold for me to get in that water, my hands were shaking just taking pictures from the beach!!! It was mostly waist to chest high but there were some really big sets in the head high range.
Weedon Island and Sunset Beach
Not much in the way of a fishing or surfing report. It has been windy and I have been sick, But did get the opportunity to shoot some more photos. The first is using the High Dynamic Range setting of the camera of a boardwalk at Weedon Island Preserve. I think it was a little too much light for that type of photo, but I like the shot. The others are last night (10/13/08) at Sunset Beach:
Surf Report 9/18/08
Sunset Beach 9:30am: Smooth and flat out there today. Very small shore break that may entice the skimmers to get out to the pass and mess around. Nothing for surf today or tomorrow maybe a slight shot at it this weekend.

Upham Beach 10:28am: Surf is still hanging in there. Knee high with some bigger sets few and far between. Should be fun on the longboard. Surfed Sunset Beach yesterday. It was small but some fun peaky close-out waves. This should be the last day of the Hurricane Ike swell. Here is Sam on one of the waves yesterday:
Surf Report 8/8/08 #2
Upham Beach 5:45pm: Looks good, the west wind cranked up and that trough pushed some swell our way. I would say it is about thigh high and choppy. Headed out to Upham or Sunset, look for the Orange Truck!!
