Fishing Report 8/16/08
Sorry about the lack of fishing reports lately. Really been rough and windy the past few days so not a ton of reports coming in. Tons of Mangrove Snapper are lurking in the shadows at Gandy Bridge, Sunshine Skyway, and all the other bay area bridges. As the beach calms there may be more snook hookups. Trout and reds are being caught on the deep drop offs of the seagrass beds.
Fishing Report 7/29/08
The name of the game has shifted slightly. Mangrove snapper are everywhere right now. On every trip I have caught them and seen everyone else doing the same. Lots of reports also from Gandy Bridge, Sunshine Skyway, and the passes. Speckled Trout also have crashed onto the scene. Topwater and big baits are producing the big fish up to and over 20″. Snook are still at the passes.
