Surf Photos 10/10/09
Here are some photos of our surf outting on Saturday 10/10/09. It was a nice cold front swell that was about knee to waist high. It was pretty consistantly in the thigh high range and very glassy thanks to some light offshore winds. We surfed near Portifino and then moved down to “The Cross.” Sam was doing a great job riding the waves and after a pretty good session I jumped in the water with the camera to shoot these photos:
Surf Report 7/3/09
Pensacola Beach 8:15am: Surf is about thigh high right now. It may pick up with the tide going out all day. We went out last night near Portifino and were a little surprised at the size of the waves. We had some solid thigh high surf with some sets at waist high but it was pretty rough out there and the current was swirling enough to make it hard to stay in the good spots. Clearly was the wrong choice of boards on my part as we should have left the longboards and taken the 7-footers.
