Fishing Report 9/22/09
Inshore: Fishing is tough right now with all the bad weather we have had over the past few weeks. Lots of rain has dropped the salinity of the water in the bays quite a bit. The specks and reds are still biting pretty well. Good reports also coming in of Mangrove Snapper on structure near the pass.
Offshore: Getting ready for a good bluewater fall bite here soon. White Marlin are a good October target along with Mahi and Wahoo.

Inshore: Down south today is one of my favorite days of the year…. Snook Season Opening Day! I wish I was down there just as an excuse to go snook fishing. Up here we have some SPECK’tacular fishing going on as well. Big specks, redfish, and flounder are everywhere. the bay is also holding some decent size spanish mackerel right now.
Offshore: We are wrapping up most of the bottom fishing and getting ready for a fall run of white and blue marlin. The wahoo bite has been off the chain this summer.

45 Miles off of Panama City
Here is a photo from Griff in Panama City of their take on the “Best Bet” of red snapper, grouper, a nice wahoo, and it looks like a blackfin, a couple of scamp, and a mangrove snapper as well. Nice job guys and keep sending photos our way (Err… I mean, invite us so we can take the photos and fish).
